Amazing nest in the tree

Sometimes 2 pair of eyes are much better than one, Connie spotted this on our walk at the weekend – a bird flew out of a hole in the tree. We took a closer look into the hole and found a nest with a young bird in it. It was quite a challenge to get a picture as the nest was down in the tree, the best we could do was just to catch a shot of the bird low down in the second picture.

Just as I snapped the last picture of the nest the parent came back with some food and started fussing at us – so we moved away and I managed to catch a picture of the bird at the hole in the tree and going in to feed the young.
