Chicken with braised leeks, artichokes and tarragon

Chicken with braised artichokes, leeks and tarragonI am a self professed foodie, love looking for new recipes and trying them out. I have many food related boards on Pinterest and add to them daily. Last night I made a new dish, one that I had pinned a few weeks ago onto the Fowl Play board. At first glance the recipe seemed good, however not mind blowing. Surprise! The recipe? Chicken with braised artichokes, leeks and tarragon. We were blown away with the depth of flavor that the tarragon and leeks gave the artichokes and chicken. The recipe calls for preparing fresh artichokes which I did and wouldn’t do again – jarred artichoke hearts will do just fine. It also calls for fresh tarragon, however I used dried which was just as good, I’m sure. I also tend to braise chicken until it falls off the bone, which I did – it was in the oven at a lower temperature for an hour and a half.

If you like braised chicken dishes this one’s for you – put all the ingredients in a Dutch oven, stick it in the oven and leave it until you’re ready to eat. You can find the recipe on my Pinterest board here
